Blood clots in legs Deep Veins Thrombosis

Deep vein thrombosis often appears in the legs. If the person neglects the unnecessary things that seem in his or her body, such as swelling and severe pain in the body, then its consequences are not good for life. Know about Deep Veins Thrombosis: Deep Vein Thrombosis takes place when the blood clot forms one or more deep veins in the body. Deep vein thrombosis starts at the point of the body, such as severe pain or swelling in the legs.

Causes of DVT:

1: Deficiency in blood: One of the major reasons for DVT is deficiency of blood. It occurs when we do not take proper nutrients, food, or hormonal disturbances, which affect our body and result in us feeling that some unnecessary things happen to us.

2: Natural blockage of blood flow: Whenever deep veins thrombosis naturally, the blood clots stick at one place in our body.

3: Immobilisation: If any injury occurs for a long period of time, the of time, the patient should rest on bed. In this condition, there are many chances of deep vein thrombosis.

Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis:

Blood thinners or systemic anticoagulation

Angiography

Blood Thinners or Systemic Anticoagulation:

In this treatment, patients are admitted to hospitals, and such types of medicines are available to cure DVT. Medicines are available in the form of injections and pills.

Heparin injection BP 5000 IU/ml Anti-Coagulate, Xarelto 20 mg, Warfarin 3 mg.

These injections and pills are used for patient prompt treatment, in which 70% of patients can recover. These medicines give patients the ability to thin the blood.

When do patients need an interventional radiologist?

When the clots are not broken by medicines, the patient needs an interventional radiologist.

They used some novel techniques to recover the patient early.

Angiography: If the patient's condition is serious, it will need an angiography for an early recovery.

In medicine, two types of angiograms for deep vein thrombosis are used for treatment.

1: Catheter Detection Thrombosis: In this treatment, the doctor inserts a wire at the place of the clot, and then the clot melts. This process is called Catheter Detection Thrombosis.

2: Pharmacomechanical Thrombolysis or Thrombectomy: In this process, doctors break the whole clot, or by the process of suction, the whole clot can be pulled. This process is known as thromboaspiration.

Like this, so many options are available for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis.

Why do we need this type of advanced treatment?

In some cases, deep vein thrombosis causes death or a lethal form.

1:-Phlegmasia

2:-Pulmonary Embolism

3:-Paradoxical treatment

1: Phlegmasia: This can lead to the cutting of the leg. Pressure might increase so much that arterial flow might reduce.

2:-Pulmonary Embolism:- This clot might break and seep into the heart or lungs. Due to which, the heart pressure might increase so much and oxygen flow reduce so much that the patient's BP might collapse immediately. It might be fatal.

3: Paradoxical treatment: Due to this, there could be a paradoxical stroke in which this clot might flee and somehow seep into the arterial system and cause a stroke in the brain. It can lead to gangrene on your hands and legs.

What are post-thromobotic sequelae?

Some of the cases Deep vein thrombosis cures successfully, but some problems remain in the body, such as pain in leg vessels, verocousness, changes in skin colour, and some small wounds. Sometimes it seems like this condition is lifelong.

These are all treatments for when the load of clots is very high.

Most of the old radiologists suggest an IVC filter, but it is not suitable for patients. which said that this clot should not increase above or hopefully don't throw clot in the hearts or lungs. So they insert a tiny filter in the IVC, i.e., inside the bigger vein. By which, even if the clot flees, the filter will prevent it. It is like an umbrella. And it won’t let the clot travel upwards. All the international guidelines now state that the IVC filter is used in very few cases. If it is not possible to provide only the blood thinner medicine, and despite taking the medicine, the clot is increasing or it is throwing an embolus, Only then, this filter should be used. Or else, using the techniques that were just stated, the clot can be destroyed by angiography. Along with that, this filter can be used. Apart from this, this filter should not be used much or avoided (IVC).

Conclusion:

Now days, deep vein thrombosis seems to be a critical problem; it takes place when the legs swell too much. We need to know more about this, and don’t avoid severe pain and swelling in your body. Deep vein thrombosis may be the cause of death and a lethal situation. The patient may have lost his or her leg for a lifetime.

It is necessary to be aware of this type of situation or take treatment at the right time before the situation becomes unpleasant. Treatment is available for this situation, avoiding the problem in a harsh situation. Therefore, when knowing the problem treatment from the starting point,.
